Swatches: Orly Holiday Soiree Minis

So yesterday I was wandering my local Sally's Beauty Supply again and rummaged around the nail aisle/ clearance shelf. Of course the full size display was already wiped out, so I settled with these little guys.

Oui

It's a midtoned metallic purple with a load of large yellow/gold shimmers.  So pretty, unique and what is staying on my nails.

Androgynie

It's a black sheer jelly with gold shimmers, holographic silver glitter and large hexagonal teal/blue & green/orange glitter. Absolutely drop dead gorgeous in the bottle, very galaxy-like. Sadly, as others have said most of the hexagonal glitter stick to the sides of bottle. Even with a bunch of shaking I could hardly get enough onto my nails. Overall a bit disappointing.

Ma Cherie

It's a candy apple red jelly. The picture above is a bit lighter then what it looks like in real life. Ironically I stumbled upon these the day after I started "lemming" for a red jelly nail polish.

Note: All swatches above were done with two coats of nail polish.

In Addition. . .

They came packaged like this:

Original: ?
Clearance: $3.99
But remember there is a Sale going on that is up to 70% off Clearance Items. So I got these 50% off for two dollars.  The sale is going to go on for two more days ending on 12/31/11, so I'd get there soon to find these or other clearanced holiday polishes.

Review Wet n Wild Coloricon palette in Comfort Zone

So since the review I wrote for the I Heart Matte a few days ago I started thinking that maybe I should write a review for the other Wet n' Wild palettes I've have gathered over the last couple years too so expect a slew of Wet n' Wild reviews coming up. To start, I give you a review about Wet n' Wild's Comfort Zone palette~

Retail Price: $4.99
Amount: 0.3 oz/ 8.5
Available Colors: Comfort Zone, Petal Pusher, Blue Had Me At Hello, I Heart Matte
What is it? 8-pan Eyeshadow Palette
Where to get it? Walgreens, Walmart, CVS(some), an possibly other local grocery/drugstores in the US.
Claim:
"A stunning collection of 8 silky, ultra-pigmented day-to-night colors. Mix-and-match for a variety of looks from sweet to wild!
      - All-day, crease-resistant color"

Packaging: Like other Coloricon line packaging, it's a flip open plastic case with a clear top and black bottom. Not exactly sturdy, but does the job. It also does not include a mirror, which personally I don't mind. On the back it has a chart that suggests where to place the eye shadows with different combinations and looks. The eyeshadows themselves are imprinted with either: Browbone, Eyelid, Crease, or Definer.

Pigmentation: The most pigmented out of the other 8-pans like this. All of these shades are pigmented. One shade in particular in this palette I might even consider too pigmented and that would be the left definer.

Texture/Finish: I'd say you'd only have to watch out for fallout and powdery-ness with only two of the shades. I'd like to add that someone should not swirl their brush because you will grab WAY to much eyeshadow and powder will go everywhere. The eyeshadows in this palette contain a shimmery, pearly, or duocrome finish. There is not a single matte in this palette.

Longevity: These last about the same as other good quality shadows on my semi oily lids. With a good primer or base I don't see these creasing that often.

Swatches:

Left Browbone: Chunky shimmery yellow creme. Definitely watch out with the glittery fallout with this one.

Left Eyelid: Pearly warm tone pink with golden sheen. My favorite color in this entire palette(if you can't tell by the dent in the 1st picture). So smooth and creamy.

Left Crease: Pearly bronzy brown.

Left Definer: Very dark brown with copper shimmers throughout. All you need is a feather light touch and you'd probably still have enough for other person. Honestly when I use this color I can really see any of the copper shimmer. Also because of the softness and pigmentation of this you should watch of fallout with this shade.

Right Browbone: Pearly dirty golden champagne. I think it'd look like a odd browbone color, but as a eyelid color it looks very pretty.

Right Eyelid: Shimmery leafy green with splash of gold.

Right Crease: Very dark olive green with gold shimmers throughout.

Right Definer: Reddish brown base with a forest green duocrome. Probably the shadow that many people wanted this palette for. I don't think it really looks too appealing as a definer color but as a eyelid or layering color it's gorgeous.

What I came up with:

Super shimmery subtle pinky golden bronze smoky eye using the left side of the palette. All Shadows were used as labeled. Oddly the eyelid color kept registering as a gold in the camera.

Using the first 3 shades from the right side of the palette(not the definer color).  I used the Eyelid and crease as suggested but I used the Browbone in the inner corner.

Now to showcase the Duochrome definer.  I put it across my entire eyelid. I then added a bit of the right crease color to deepen the outer corner a little more.

Overall:
4.5 out of 5
I like this palette. Not so much the Left Browbone, but I quite like the rest of the colors. As the name suggests, this palette would probably fit most people's comfort zone while giving one the option to add a bit of color with the green shades. One would also easily go from a day look to a dramatic smoky night look.
Would I recommend? Yes, if you miss out on the Night Elf palette from the 2010 Christmas collection or are new to Wet n' Wild eyeshadows. Although, if you have all the palettes: Night Elf, I'm Getting Sunburned, Walking on Eggshells and/or Sweet as Candy, I'd pass. Of course unless you want those 2 greens in the palettes.

Merry Christmas~

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope everyone is safe at home with a family all around with a cup of hot chocolate in one hand and tucked into a warm and cozy robe, blanket, or Snuggie watching all the classic Christmas movies on ABC family.

Although at the moment in Florida it really doesn't feel at all Christmasy considering it's still around 70-80 degrees. >___> Definitely moving up north one day, even though I'd probably freeze to death because I've very vulnerable to the cold, considering I even sometimes wear jackets in the summer. ^^;

And last but not least, please enjoy my Christmas eye look I came up made a few days ago. Thought of it after I got sick of seeing all the gold eyeshadow and red lip looks on YouTube. :/

Products Used:
Nyx - Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Wet n' Wild - Coloricon palette  in I heart Matte, White Brownbone shade.
Morbid/Hot Topic - lip/eyeliner in Red.
Nyx - single eyeshadow in Redhead.
Physician's Formula - Shimmer Strips Gel liner in Green eyes, the Green shade.
Rimmel - Extra Wow Lash Mascara in Ultra black.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS~

Review: Wet n' Wild Coloricon palette in I Heart Matte

Retail Price: $4.99
Amount: 0.3 oz/ 8.5 g
Available Colors: Comfort Zone, Petal Pusher, Blue Had Me At Hello, I Heart Matte
What is it? All Matte 8-pan Eyeshadow Palette; I believe and/or like to believe that this palette isn't Limited Edition, but I could be wrong.
Where to get it? Walgreens; it should be in a end cap wall display along with the holiday baked palettes
Claim:
"A stunning collection of 8 silky, ultra-pigmented day-to-night colors. Mix-and-match for a variety of looks from sweet to wild!
      - All-day, crease-resistant color"

Packaging: Just like the other 8-pan palettes, it's a flip-open-from-the-bottom plastic case with a clear top and black base.

Pigmentation: The majority of the colors are VERY pigmented. All you need is a dab and your covered. Although there are only two to three shades where I had to layer a bit to get a completely opaque color.

Texture/Finish: Generally they're a bit powdery, especially the Green Eyelid shade. You may experience a bit of fall out but not much at all if you tap off a little before applying. They are ALL matte, hence the name. If you stare harder at the Purple definer shade you may see a bit of sparkle, but rest assured it comes off completely matte.

Longevity: Although I do have semi oily eyelids, I never wear eyeshadow with out some something moist on my lids for eyeshadow to stick to whether it be a base, primer or light moisturizer. That being said, these do actually say crease-less longer then some of my other eyeshadows, probably because they are a bit powdery.

Colors/Swatches:

Left/Colorful side-

Browbone- A stark white. One of the shades I mentioned that I had to build a little to get the desired pigmentation. Overall quite good, since its pretty hard to find a opaque white.

Eyelid- Plain kelly green. As mentioned before it's the most powdery shade out of the bunch, so definitely watch out for fallout.

Crease- Between an electric and sky blue.

Definer- Neutral purple, that doesn't lean blue or red. Also one of the shades that needs a little layering.

Right/Neutrals side-

Browbone- Creme color. Some would say that it's the same as the single in Brulee. Color-wise, yes it is, but pigmentation-wise, I find the cremes in Wet n' Wild palettes are more pigmented. It's also very soft/powdery, but I'm less consider with any fallout with this because it's a light/skin tone color.

Eyelid- An orangy tan. Again, one of the shades that need a bit of work. Sadly it is close to my skin tone color so it wouldn't show up much on my eyelids.

Crease- Dark and sightly red-toned brown. Same as the matte dark brown in the Vanity 6-pan palette, but softer.

Definer- Standard black. If your looking for a nicely pigmented black I suggest getting this palette or Blue had me at Hello.

What I came up with:

This is using the Left side of the I Heart Matte palette plus the Right's browbone color plus double winged eyeliner for added drama.

White Browbone: Inner corner
Green Eyelid: Central of my eyelid
Blue Crease: Outer corner
Purple definer: In my crease
Creme Browbone: On my brow bone and blended heavily with the purple in my crease.

This is using the right Neutral side of the palette. I used all the colors where it is suggested this time for a soft smokey wearable eye look.

Tan Eyelid: On my eyelid.
Brown Crease: In Crease
Creme Browbone: On browbone blended into the brown
Black definer: In my outer corner

Overall:
5 out of 5
It's great to have all the basic matte shades in one palette. I don't like using one finish for an eye look, but the purpose of this palette is to be all matte after all.
Would I Recommend it? Completely~

Haul~ Finally Joining the Bandwagon

So from my recent break from blogging anything because of my lack of camera, I've been yearning to show my top favorite hauled items during that time.

Let's kick this off with more nail polish.
*sigh* Seems like I've been going on a polish buying spree recently. Nail polish is just too pretty to pass up nowadays.

Kleancolor Nail lacquers in Holo Chrome, Sugar Coat, Bridal Shower - $1.99~
Bought them at a local accessory store in Tampa. I've tried them all and I have to say Bridal Shower is my Favorite, but it's so hard to remove. ): Sugar Coat was a bit goopy and slow drying too.

OPI DS Collection in DS Amethyst- $15.99
Bought it at a local Beauty supply store in Tampa. OPI Holos look so Gorgeous, so expensive but so worth it. The most I've ever spent on a nail polish.

Orly, Birds of a Feather Nail Lacquer Gift Set with Fowl Play, Lucky Duck, Sweet Peacock, and a Extra bag- $9.99~
I was so trilled when I found Fowl Play at my local Sally's Beauty Supply. I was dieing to get it since summer, after I heard it was a dupe for OPI's Merry Midnight. My Sally's stopped displaying the individual collection so I bought the set, which was a great deal since your getting Three Orlys for $10. So far I've tried Fowl Play and Lucky Duck, but I plan to try out Sweet Peacock soon enough.

Physician's Formula Set with Baked Souffle, Classic Basics, Touch of Smoke- $6.99~
Complete Steal. For $6.99, it was like a buy one and getting two free. Plus I've been wanting some more neutral colors. I've been Loving Baked Souffle quite a bit, but quite underwhelmed with  Classic Basics. Touch of Smoke makes a good subtle shimmery layering color.

Urban Decay's Naked Palette with a mini Primer Potion and a Good Karma Eyeshadow brush- $48
I paid $21 plus tax. How? I had a $15 off $50 coupon from my Email and $12 left on a Jcpenney gift card. Yay, for getting more then Half off on a high end Product. :P
But Yes, I've finally joined the Naked cult, extremely late considering the Naked 2 just came out, but after searching up reviews comparing the two, although I love taupes to death, I can't seem to pull off greys or silvers. So I didn't take any chances and went with the original Naked. The Original also came with a mini Primer Potion, that I've never tried.
I'm also super stoked that this is my first Urban Decay product, but also my first full sized high end product.

Update: Back in Action! O~O

So Yeah... I've been away because of my broken camera dilemma for quite awhile. But Don't Despair because *drumroll* I FINALLY got a new camera so I should be updating every so often now again.

This school year's been so crazy so far. Scholarships, volunteering, club activities, job searching, and keeping up my grades, it's all making my head spin. I've really appreciated this much needed break.

My highlight was definitely Thanksgiving/Black Friday. Besides the dinner, waiting outside in the chilly weather for 3 hours till the opening of Target was dreadful. Luckily I was roughly around the 52-ish(beginning) person in the line, of which stretched all the way around the plaza.

It seemed like everyone there was gunning for the 42 or 46 inch. TVs or the Camera I'm about to show you below.  About 15 minutes after opening, Target was a sea of ginormous TVs.

Now onto my Camera~
Nikon Coolpix L105
- On Sale for $99.99, originally $199.99
- 15x Optical Zoom (HUGE differences from my old 3x Kodak)
- 720p HD video
- Looks Professional for a point and shoot camera, but definitely not very discrete because of it's large size.
- Comes with a Lens cap, Neck Strap, Manual, Software, and four AA batteries.
- The worst part about it is the fact that is does need four AA Batteries, but I've realized that that can be a good thing too, considering it will have a long battery life because from my experience with rechargeable electronics, they die out quite quickly.

On a separate topic, look what I scored at Ross~

Left to Right: No Shrinking Violet, Iced Spice, Raisin Rage, Black with Envy

Price: $5.99
Seriously that is basically a buy one get 3 free deal right there. They cam packaged in a plastic cylinder, was inconvenient to take a picture of, but if you missed getting the Black with Envy nail Polish Check you local Ross. (Side note: They also had the Color Club collections, Holiday 2011 glitters and the Foiled one. So maybe they will end up in yours too)
And Yes, that's the coveted Chanel Black Pearl dupe called Black with Envy. It was the Reason I bought the set really. Not really excited about Raisin Rage, which is a dark red creme, of which I already have very similar colors off.

P.S. I'm writing this right before my first ever job interview so wish me luck~

Farewell.

Soooo typically, when you think of a Floridian, you'd think all they do is go to Disney World or beaches all the time. I've lived here all my life and I honestly never go or have time to go, despite living a mere 10 minutes away from a somewhat well know popular beach. I took the picture above during the only time I was even able to go this summer, sad huh?

I'm somewhat disappointed with myself for not doing anything worth while over the summer and now I'm panicked that I'm heading back to school tomorrow. Happily I'll get to see my friends again, but absolutely terrified of the stress that will come with my most important year of high school, my junior year.  Because if I'm not mistaken this is the year I'll have to start thinking about scholarships and since I'll have to apply to colleges in the beginning of my senior year, the year they get grades off of is junior year, or so I've heard...

BUT Anyways, this is my Farewell to summer vacation and Hello to 180 days in a stress inducing prison... Well, so says my inner angsty teenager. xD

NOTM: Turquatic

Yup, completely inspired by MAC's Turquatic perfume in the newer bottle. Even though I have yet to own anything from MAC.... ^^; but enjoy anyway~

I took this with my cellphone since my camera died so excuse me for the bad quality (even though it turned out better then I thought).

What I used:

Used left to right in order.

Finger Paints in Paper Mache: (2 coats) Not to shabby of a white nail polish, streaky but manageable.

LA Colors - Art Deco in Yellow: Used this as the first gradient color because I don't own any yellow nail polish. It worked out nicely. :)

Nina Pro in Leaf Me Alone: Gotta love the name of this, so corny. Anyways it's a Leaf Green jelly. 2nd color in gradient and lightly applied it over entire nail to further blend colors.

Sinful Colors in Rise and Shine: Green Turquoise color with small teal shimmers. The 3rd color. To be quite honest, I personally think this color looks absolutely hideous with my skin tone, sadly even though it is a lovely color.

Rimmel - Lasting Finish Pro in Marine Blue: Sky Blue with teal shimmers. The 4th color. I absolutely adore this color. <3 Sadly discontinued I think because it was in CVS's semi annual clearance sale for 75% off.

Wet n' Wild - Wild Shine in Blue Moon: Navy Blue jelly with teal and green shimmers. Totally recommend this if your looking for a navy blue.

China Glaze in Jolly Holly: Dark Green with lime green shimmers. This came out in last years limited edition holiday collection. Was the base for the kelp/seaweed

LA Colors - Art Deco in Green Glitter: Used over Jolly Holly just to add some pazazz to the kelp/seaweed.

RIP: Kodak MX1063.

Well I pronounce my camera officially Dead.
So I can't take any pictures for this blog until I get a new one. Of which.... Believe me, will be forever... *cries* Unless roughly $150 magically appears in my wallet, I get a job or beg for one on Christmas.
I would get a job, but I need to start volunteering to fill out a scholarship qualification. :T I could Always attempt to use my cellphone camera, but as everybody knows phones have horrible quality pictures...*sigh*
Although I will be able to do a few reviews that I was planning to do with pictures that were prepared ahead of time. :D

NOTM: Teal Glitter Gradient

And here are my latest Nails of the Week.

What I used:

Finger Paints in Easel Come Easel Go: The perfect metallic silver color. So shiny it was hard to get it to look silver in the picture and not white. Which I probably failed at doing... (2 coats)

Finger Paints in Art you Wondering?: Gorgeous teal one sized glitter. Sort of hard to do a gradient with because it's one sized. Keep in mind you definitely need a base coat with this or you'll pay later trying to take it off. I learned the hard way. (2 coats for my ring finger)

My Wet N' Wild Honorable Mention Prize

The post explaining the WnW giveaway and my entry are located Here.

YAY, my mystery Wet n' Wild package came earlier then expected. In their email back to me they wrote that it'd come in within 4 weeks,  probably quicker, but I definitely wasn't expecting it to get here within a week. I'm surprised they sent me so much.

What I got:
I resisted the urge to tear all the seals open and swatch away until this afternoon when I could get good lighting, even though it's been raining all day. :T

Silk Finish Lipstick in 502A Dark Pink Frost - Not a big fan of frosts since I have big lips and it  could make them stand out more, but I can't judge a book by its cover. So we'll see...

Ultimate Brow Kit in 963 Ash Brown - Eh, I don't really fill in my brows ever since in real life they look pretty full already, but I'll save it if I ever do or feel the urge to do my brows.

Kohl Eyeliner in 653E Cool Green - I already own a few of these Kohls, not this particular shade though. Oh this takes me back. Back when I was first starting out with makeup with no eyeshadow and was extremely obsessed with colorful eyeliners of which I still am. xD

Coloricon Eyeliner in 663C Olive - Love to see how these Coloricon liners differ from their kohl eyeliners.

Finally the last and best part of my prize is the....*drumroll*

Coloricon 8-pan palette in 737 Blue Had Me At Hello - SOOOOOOO happy they sent me this one instead of Petal Pusher or another Comfort Zone. I've been eyeing this for quite awhile, but never got the chance to get myself one. I've also been dieing to get more blues in my collection and a matte black. *drools*.

Now if you'd excuse me... *rips seals* >D

MUL: Wet n' Wild Wildflowers

About a month ago I entered Wet n Wild's Summer Twitter/Email giveaway (Here), of which I found out from Nouveau Cheap's blog post (Here).  Since I'm a huge fan of Wet n Wild, I decided to enter that very day; using only Wet n' Wild Products on my eyes.

AND this is what I came up with:

Inspired by wildflowers that I saw as a little kid in my old neighborhood.

And here was my contest Entry:

These are the Products I used:

"Pixie" Idol Eyes - (depotted) as a base
"Comfort Zone" ColorIcon 8-pan Palette - Left Eyelid shade in the inner lid
"Night Elf" ColorIcon 6-pan Palette - Red in the middle of the lid
"Lust" ColorIcon 6-pan Palette - Middle Plum shade in outer corner of the lid
"Envy" ColorIcon Single Eyeshadow - Outer lower Lashline
"Brulee" ColorIcon Single Eyeshadow - Brow bone highlight
"868 Black" Mega Eyes creme Liner - Upper lash line
"651 Black Black" Kohl Brow/Eyeliner - Waterline and the Swirl
"545A Blushing Bali" Lipstick - On my lips obviously. xD

On August 2nd they announced the Winner of the giveaway's Grand prize, of who I think deserved it even though I liked the 2nd place winners look more.
Although I didn't win, I was in the Honorable Mentions, of which I was super Excited about. I would have linked it, but it seems that they deleted it off their Twitter. I can't wait for my Mystery Package to arrive, despite the fact that they said we'd get to chose. ^^; I'll definitely post what I got when it arrives. :)

NOTM: All About a Blue Moon

This week, I've been EXTREMELY frustrated with nail polish. I had to have gone through at least 3 manis in the course of 2 days and have discover that I'm definitely not a fan of Sally Hansen polishes. :T *sigh* Then I just finally settled on something I knew would work, even though I haven't tried these particular shades yet.

What I Used:

Essie - Fill the Gap base coat: I've been using this like crazy since I got it.

Wet n' Wild - Blue Moon: Gorgeous navy blue with very subtle teal shimmer. I used 2 coats on each nail, even though it was pretty much opaque with a single coat.

Sinful Colors - All About You: Gold micro glitter with slightly larger orange glitter throughout, all suspended in a clear polish. I used 2 coat of this on my ring finger.

Seche Vite - Top Coat: Now where would I be without this?

July 19, 2011

NOTM: Medallion of Minty Apples and Mangos.

Don't mind the post name. xD I just thought it'd be an interesting touch. Anyways, here's my latest NOTW.

Does it remind anyone else of those chunky gold turquoise rings? Well that's sort of what I was going for. It looks really "Summery" to me. Although I really don't care if the nail polish I'm wearing fits a season at all.

What I Used:

~Essie - Fill the Gap, base coat: It's my new love~

~Essie - Mango Bango: A little-darker-then-a-traffic-cone orange. I think this is discontinued, got it on clearance for $2 and never saw it in stores.

~Sinful Colors - Mint Apple: Minty green that's more on the blue side with silver shimmers, I got a few compliments wearing this alone once.

~Seche Vite - Top coat: My Favorite Top Coat.

~China Glaze - Cracked Medallion: Golden copper crackle. I bought this over the gold crackle because this looked more like an intenser gold because of the Copper. Upon application I thought I hated it and that it would be a bust like Sally Hansen's Fractured Foil. It looked too sheer, but once I applied a top coat that's when I KNEW I fell in love.

Note: Here are some words of advice. When applying metallic crackles it's better to apply it quickly when your base nail color is still not completely dry or when you can touch it without getting any nail polish on you finger.

B&BW Summer Semi Annual Sale Haul

First, I'd like to say sorry for changing my layout every time I post something, but this time it should stay this way. I was putting off making my personal header for forever until I remembered a quote and realized it'd be perfect.

But anyways on to my new Bath and Body Works stuff~
I bought these a couple weeks ago at different times. Though I'm not quite sure if the sale is still going on, but I hope so, so I can snag a couple more lipglosses. ^~^

I tried not to go too crazy over anything. ^^;
I'm terrible at describing scents, so take my descriptions loosely...

~Peach Citrus body lotion teaser: $2~ I've been loving peachy things lately so I decided to just impulse buy this at the counter. Smells lemony with a slight peachyness.

~Liplicious in Peach Tar: $7($2 on sale)~ Holy jfkhfeohf! My favorite Liplicious lip gloss to date. Smells exactly like those "Sour" Peach ring gummies, doesn't taste too sugary sweet, and just gives a nice sheer nudey sheen to my pigmented lips.

~ Signature Vanilla body wash in Berry: $10.50 ($2.63, 75% off)~ Decided to go with the body wash because I finally realized it's stupid to buy another full sized lotion when I honestly rarely put on lotion to begin with. Though I would've bought a body mist too If they had them, but they didn't. *Sigh*

~Mini Candle in Summer Berries: $2, on sale, I think...~ I've always wanted to try burning a candle but my mom isn't too fond of them and my family thinks that I'll burn the house down, but a small one should be okay right?  I already used 75% of it and I'm surprised at how slow it burned.

~Eau de Toilette perfume in Orange Sapphire: $29.50 ($7.38, 75% off)~ I Think I have a problem with buying perfumes on sale... I honestly didn't care for the scent when I got it. ^^; BUT I do love the smell, though I'm not sure about smelling like straight up oranges. The only notes I can detect are blood oranges and a little musk? I also thought the bottle looked gorgeous too.

~Eau de Toilette perfume in Black Raspberry Vanilla: $26.50 ($6.63, 75% off)~ Okay, with this the name really did call to me since I love black raspberries and/or anything berry really. I'm definitely going to get a lot of use out of this.

NOTM: ChG Tempest plus Konad Dupe

Eh... I haven't been posting any reviews at all because I've just really chilled at home the entire summer plus my face has been getting randomly inflamed for no apparent reason soooo I'll probably just be uploading hauls and NOTWs(Nails of the Moment) the rest of it till school starts and I start getting into wearing makeup again. ^^;

Yep, my nails are nubbies at the moment. They were in horrible condition for half the year because of my Ceramics class so I decided that I need to start fresh. Also, please excuse the chipping (this picture was taken a week into doing my nails) and my really dry finger tips.

What I Used:

~Essie - Fill the Gap, base coat: AMAZING... Definitely the best base coat I've ever used so far. It really does give you a nice even surface to paint your nails. It's also my cheapest one, on sale for $2 at a hair salon in my mall.

~China Glaze - Tempest: Blurple color, or more specifically a purple base with a really strong blue shimmer. Took 3 coats to make it opaque though. :T

~Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear in White On: Absolutely horrible white nail polish if your trying to coat your nails because its extremely goopy and thick, but great for nail stamping because of that reason.

~Seche Vite - Top Coat: Yes the oh so famous topcoat, but I honestly do believe it deserves the praise that it gets, it's fast drying, shiny and protective. Surprisingly it's not getting thick and goopy like everyone says and I'm about half way finished with it...

~Kand Nail Stamping set: Cheapy Konad dupe~ I don't own any Konad so I can't compare, but I think it would work just as good as the Konad one. Its just that the plastic scraper that comes with this cheapy set sucks, so I use a Razor blade to scrape it off.

MetroCon 2011 haul~

Luckily, I live a mere 30-40 minutes away from the Tampa Convention Center in Florida, that happens to conveniently host Florida's Largest Anime Convention aka MetroCon. :P
This Past Weekend, June 17th-19th 2011, was the I believe 9th annual convention.
It's been my third time coming to this convention and my sixth convention in total since I was about 11 years old. This was my first year attending all 3 days of a convention, of which I was super happy about.

On to the goods~

What bummed me out quite a bit was that they didn't even have a stand selling Pocky and Ramune, considering that's what us anime-tards thrive off of. :O

And yes that's a pink bear with Bloody claws. <3

MetroCon Weekend Pass: $60~ pass for all 3 days of metrocon, and to get into main events and vendor room.
Badges: $0.25 each~ Bought them from the artist alley. Not sure what the people who made them were named... ^^;
Gloomy Claw Key chain: $2~ >P
Gloomy Plushie:  $28~ So fluffy and dangerously adorable. I debated for basically two days on getting it, but I finally did.

Badge Close ups:
Top L-R: Edward(Full Metal Alchemist), Miku(Vocaloid)
Bottom L-R: Rin and Len(Vocaloid)

Gloomy Keychain close up:
You can also  stick your finger in the paw too.

Gloomy does in fact come in a variety of colors and although I'm not a pink person, I just had to stay with the Original Classic color of Gloomy.
I've been obsessing over Gloomy Stuff lately and wanting to make a collection someday. If you don't know who or what Gloomy is; Its A pink man eating bear hence the bloody mouth and claws. :3 Absolutely adorable in my opinion.
But come on let's face it Gloomy can soooo kick Hello Kitty's ass anyday. :P

*sigh* I really need to get a Job. :T Conventioning is sooooo expensive. D;
And so is makeup as a matter of fact...

NOTM: Rainbows of a Lavendar Sky

I was inspired by cutepolish's (from youtube) rainbow tutorial. So simple and cute, I just had to give it a try myself, but with some twists, of course and since I was itching to test out my new nail art items as well.

Everything used to create these Nails of the Week:

~Sally Hansen - Double Duty Base and Top Coat
~Revlon - Scented nail polish in "Gum Drop"
~L.A. Colors - Art deco in Yellow, Red and Sky Blue
~Sally Hansen - Extreme Wear in "White on"
~Seche Vite - Top coat
~Gem Wheel, which I found at a dollar store.

On a Side Note:
Exams are Over, and so is school! For now anyway...
Now I to just lay around and "Vegetate" as my now previous English teacher would have put it. O~O
WOOT~

Oh and Sorry I've been away for a little bit. My friend was borrowing my camera to do her project, which she never ended up using and kept forgetting to hand me it back... *Facepalm*

Haul: Tons of Physicians Formula, some Extras & CVS News!

Here is My Physicians Formula Haul as promised and as I said before (in last haul post) these products weren't all purchased at the same day or even week, they were bought over a coarse of a month or more.

All these PF products were purchased with the $5.00 Off Coupon, which can be found here:
http://www.raininghotcoupons.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/eyebooster-coupon-3-1.pdf
Its good till 6/15/11! So you still have loads of time!
I on the other hand, I'm probably stopping with these gems I got. Or will I? ;P
Don't Worry if I do, I'll definitely make a Part 2 to this haul even though technically this is part 2 of a collective haul haul... ^^;

Anyways my new 9 little gems from Physicians Formula:

Trip One~

Where: Wal-Mart
Worth: $22.30
Paid: $12.30

At the time I was Sad I Discovered the coupon after I missed the 40% off at CVS deal a little while back, and I was itching to use it. For one, to see if it was valid, and two, the fact it's 5 bucks off of PF(One of the most expensive/healthiest DS brands). Low and behold it worked. :D

Eye Booster eyeliner in Ultra Black: $9.63(Paid $4.63)~ I've been lemming after this since I heard about all the review raves about it, plus the fact it's infused with a lash growth serum! Perfect to satisfy my eyeliner addict and my short stubby Asian lashes.

Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls in Light Bronze Pearl: $12.67 (Paid $7.67)~ So Pretty, but I sorta regret not getting the translucent or beige pearl(for a more noticeable glowy effect) since this sorta blends into my skintone more then I'd like it too. Despite that it's still fantastic, gives me a nice glowy sheen. Another thing, because of the cruddy loose pan and Bulky Packaging, I'm definitely depotting this like htownpai from Youtube did.

Trip Two~

Where: Target
Worth: $18.68
Paid: $8.68

More Impatient buying because these were more products I was going to get from Wally World, but they didn't have it in stock or sold there at all.

Shimmer Strip Bronzer in Waikiki Strip/ Peachy Glow: $9.04(Paid $4.04)~ Love the whole multipurpose idea. Reasons I bought this particular shade; it had a shimmery pink, that might possibly be the shadow I was looking for and the bronzer part was super dark which I think will actually show up on me. Plus the "Peachy Glow" name should out to me too.

Custom Eye Enhancing Gel Creamliner in Green Eyes: $9.64(Paid $4.64)~ As I stated above, I'm addicted to eyeliners And slowy but surely LOVING cream/gel liners recently and I really wanted to try a green and purple one so obviously I snagged these, Awesome steal for 3 liners.

Trip Three~

Where: CVS
Worth: 23.98
Paid: $1.98

Crazy right? Tomorrow's the last day for the 6 off face items from Physicians Formula, pair that deal off with the 5 off coupon I linked above and your saving 11 Bucks on every item!
~ Although apparently the CVS I bought these from limited everyone to only 2 coupons because there was a problem. :T I would've gotten 6 items there if it wasn't for there specific store's policy.

Powder Palette Multi-Colored Blushes in Blushing Berry: $ 12.99(Paid $0.99 each)~ Believe it or not these two blushes are apparently both marked as "Blushing Berry". O_o Not sure if it's a mistake or not, but I do know that the right one is the true Blushing Berry, if it is a mistake, because it would make more sense and that it's the one that is shown on the website. I think the left(lighter one) is actually Blushing rose, BUT it still doesn't match the online photos.

Trip Four~

Where: CVS (different one from above)
Worth: $34.95
Paid: $6.97

Still during this week so I took advantage of the sale once again and saved 11 on each item, except eye booster since that isn't a face item. AND Unlike the CVS above they allowed me to use as many as I wanted coupons as I wanted.

Eye Booster in Clear Serum: $10.99 (Paid $5.99)~ Wanted to see if these product would actually grow my lashes. So to do a through test I'm going to use this and the eyeliner everyday to make sure I have either one on me 24/7.

Powder Palette Multi-Colored Blush in Blushing Nude: $11.49 (Paid $0.49)~ Why the price is lower then the other CVS? I don't know... O_o But never the less 49 Cents! WOOT!~

Mineral Wear Foundation in Buff Beige: $11.49 (Paid $0.49) Again WOOT 49 Cents~ Still on the look out for a foundation that covers decently, doesn't break me out and lasts. *Crossing my fingers* BUT I'm going to store this after until after I finish up at least one of my other foundations.

Extras:

Where: CVS (From the 3rd Trip)
Worth: $10.28
Paid: $2.58

Will explain deal below!

Rimmel - Fix and Perfect Foundation Primer: $7.29(Paid $1.83)~ I've always wanted to try a primer and see if they do make a difference or not, plus this was the perfect time.

New York Color - Tinted lip balm in Sugar Coated: $2.99 (Paid $0.75)~ I already have 2 of these in different colors, there okay but I heard this is a dupe for something and that it shows up the most. Oh and the little dent is because when I got home I immediately tried it out. xD

CVS NEWS!:

You've probably noticed the orange stickers above? Well...

...apparently CVS is started another 75%/50% sales, like they did in the beginning of this year. That means MAJOR savings people! Run don't Walk or else someones definitely going to snatch up everything before you.

No clue how long or big it'll be, seriously RUN Forest RUN!!!

Note: Only a few CVS have started the sale(3rd trip CVS did, but not the 4th), but if yours hasn't yet, you could go to the scanner and see if it comes up or not.
