Review: Kao Liese Prettia Hair Dye in Sweet Apricot

Back in December when my roots were growing in after using Cassis Berry, I thought I was ready to go a step lighter and try Liese Prettia Sweet Apricot. 

Comes with:
Hair Dye
Developer in bottle
Foaming pump
Gloves
Conditioner

Directions:
Add the little black bottle(hair dye) to the Transparent bottle of Developer.
Cap it.
Do NOT shake. Gently flip upside down 5-6 times.
Replace white lid with pink pump.
Spread through hair.
Wait 30-40 minutes.
Wash and add Conditioner.

(Fluorescent lighting)

A orangey light brown or very auburn. I'd say it turned out very close to the color result on the box.

Positives:
Not damaging. Seriously, None.
Did lighten my hair and matched closely with box results.
Even color.
The Foam was easy to use and no crazy drippy mess.
Had more than enough to spread in my hair.

Negatives:
Smell. Has a chemical scent, but so does every hair dye. 
Some areas of my roots became a bright orange. Assuming it is due to the heat from the scalp lifting the hair color faster. It's nothing too ridiculous though.

Overall:
5 out of 5
The packaging is way too good. The formula is not damaging, easy to use, mess free, and even. The color didn't seem to fade much. I'm telling you, Kao and/or Japan's hair dye game is on point. Definitely a future repurchase.

Review: Kao Liese Prettia Hair Dye in Cassis Berry

Back in July 2013, I decided to take a big step for myself and dye my hair. My hair has been black for my entire life. I've always wanted to have crazy colored hair though, but my parents weren't the most accepting. There were many changes going on at the time (new job, relationship, school), I thought "why not get a new hair color while I'm at it?" I wanted to start small, I knew it wasn't easy to lighten black hair.

Enter the 
Kao Liese Prettia Hair Dye in Cassis Berry:

First off, I'm Asian and our hair is a bit thicker and different from Caucasian hair so I decided to go for an Japanese Box dye as opposed to one from the US.

One thing that I was always worried about was the damage on my hair. I love my hair texture. Shiny, healthy, and stick straight, I'd get compliments on it often. A couple years back, when I decided to cut my hair the hair dresser was shocked and tried to convince me not to because it was so nice. But enough of the rambling.

 I heard Prettia wasn't as damaging so that weighted in my decision. Also... Who can't resist the packaging? Too Cute.

Comes with:

It turned into a dark somewhat neutral brown with slight pink tones. The change was barely noticeable in indoor lighting, no one actually even knew until I mentioned it. ^^; It is noticeable outdoors or in sunlight. Though considering I knew how I looked prior, it was generally noticeable to me. 

Positives:
Not damaging
Did lighten my hair.
Even color
The Foam was easy to use.

Negatives:
Smell. Has a chemical scent, but so does every hair dye.
Didn't turn out like the before/after picture on the box.

Overall:
4.5 out of 5
Did the job and didn't damaged my hair. Wasn't the color on the box, but was in the realm of it. I'd recommend it.

After wear:
I think it retained the color pretty well. The berry tint wore away a bit, but nothing bad.

Life Update:
Geez, I need to stop getting so busy. School has been pretty brutal this year; managed to get the worst grades I've ever had in my entire life. *Bangs head against table* Good News though, I got into a early admission program. So I'll technically be a college freshmen nest year. Hopefully the college schedule will allow me to get some rest since my sleep schedule has been out of whack since I started high school. I'm talking, sleeping 3-4 hours at night, waking up at 4/5 and then passing out on my bed after I get home. Not good. ^^;

Ion Silk Drops - $7.99($6.99 w/card)~ I believe this has the same concept as Biosilk drops or Chi silk infusion. Recently my hair has been acted horrible and frizzy so I've been wanting to get a de-frizz moisture product and apparently you can use this on your skin which is interesting. It's smells amazing too.

China Glaze in Harvest Moon and Fast Track - $5.99($4.99 w/ card)~ Completely pysched about this collection and  movie coming out soon. Harvest Moon in a golden bronze foil.So beautiful. Fast Track is a grey nude taupe color with packed small gold flecks. I'm still a bit on the fence with this color.

Palladio Shadow liner in Eclipse, Raspberry and Icicle - $5.99($5.39 w/ card)~ I've been also on a base colors/Jumbo pencil kick lately too and heard these were quite nice and good on their own.

Target:

 Boots Original Beauty Formula Cleansing Milk Geranium- $7.99~ My eyes have been getting so red/puffy/irritated from cleansers/makeup removers lately, and when I found this, the word "milk" had me hoping that is was a very gentle makeup remover for some reason. I used it right when I got home and so far so good, removed and didn't burn. :D

Sonia Kashuk luxury lip color in Truffle - $8.99~ Seems like a nice brown nude, just what I've been needing. Love the white sleek squared tube it's in.

Roxy Lieutenant purse - Original: $44. Store: $16.99~ I needed a compact less "Loud" purse to carry around casually. It's a over the shoulder satchel-type purse and the sides are about 2 inched wide.

Free~ Target Beauty Samples 8D

My Samples finally arrived in mail a week ago, so sorry that I'm posting a whee bit late. Even though you CAN'T take advantage of the free beauty bag anymore because they ran out pretty fast awhile ago anyway. ^^; Well, funny-ish thing happened when I got it, or should I say my mother did. I arrived home from school to see it busted open and sprawled out on the coffee table, probably my my mom to check if nothing "weird" was in there.

Anyways, here are the things I received:

Sonia Kashuk Makeup Bag: To be completely honest the thing I was most Excited about was this bag; mainly because I've been wanting to get on for awhile, it looks cute plus its Free.

Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balm: 2nd Favorite thing~ I'm actually pleasantly surprise on how natural it does looks on lips and moisturizing. By natural, I been there isn't really a glossy-ness to your lips after you apply it. Doesn't hurt that its Organic too. It also smells faintly of mint.

Relvon Colorburst Lip Gloss in "Hot Pink": I've yet to try this but looking forward to it.

Fekkai Shampoo and Conditioner: Happy to try a new shampoo and conditioner. Looks Promising?

Pantene Color Preserve Shine Shampoo: Meh. My least favorite sample. I know beggars can't be choosers, but after hearing how damaging Pantene is, I'm Not really thinking about ever testing it out, even though a sample probably wouldn't hurt much.

Nivea Express Hydration Lotion: Smells Pretty pleasant to me, its also a light but nicely moisturizing.

Target Beauty Coupon Book: <3 Definitely looking forward to take advantage of these.

Well let's all hope Target does one of these again. :)
